HELPING DANCERS TO FEEL CONFIDENT, CALM AND CONTENT
WELCOME
Welcome to Dance in Mind! I'm Dr Imogen Aujla, a dance psychology specialist. My goal is to make dance psychology more accessible so that you can feel confident, calm and content.
Dance psychology is a growing area of research and practice which aims to enhance the performance and wellbeing of dancers by applying scientific research and strategies. It considers the thoughts, feelings and behaviours of dancers and how these can be modified to lead to better mental health. I am both a dance psychology researcher and practitioner, meaning that I use my research knowledge to create psychology resources tailored specifically to dancers.
On Dance in Mind, you’ll find online psychology courses for dancers, blogs, worksheets, research project reports and outputs, and interviews. You can also access direct support from me in the forms of virtual coaching and mentoring. You will find resources on a range of topics, from motivation and emotional regulation to resilience and burnout.
As one of the leading dance psychology practitioners in the UK, I’m passionate about using psychological theories and techniques to enhance the wellbeing and performance of dancers. Take a look around and I’m sure you’ll find something to spark your interest!
